More circuits needed but the board is still sound? We extend the existing board with extra circuits and residual current protection, as long as its build and the wiring allow it.
Extending works if the board has breakers, the residual current protection is sound and there is physically room left. If the board is full of screw-in fuses or everything hangs behind one RCD, replacing is cheaper in the long run than continuing to bolt on.
Extra circuits for kitchen, bathroom, outdoor connections, a charging point or a workspace. Where needed we add a second RCD, so a fault does not immediately take out half the house.
A board that has had things added to it over the years is a puzzle when something fails. We relabel every circuit and record the layout, the existing ones included.
Do you know a charging point, heat pump or air conditioning is coming before long? Say so. Then we keep room and capacity free now instead of starting over later.

That depends on the free modules and on what the main supply can carry. Usually one or two; a photo tells us.
Yes, and that is allowed, provided the whole complies with the standard. We say honestly whether it is a tidy solution or postponing a replacement.
At the start and at handover yes, because that is when we walk through the board together. In between, no.
Always. You receive the measured values and an overview of the circuit layout.
