Induction hob connection

Induction needs its own circuit, and wider hobs often a perilex or two circuits. We run the connection, check the load on your fuse box and wire the hob to the manufacturer's diagram.

Induction hob connection: how we work

Why a dedicated circuit

An induction hob can briefly draw a lot of power, especially with the boost function on several zones at once. On a shared circuit the breaker trips exactly when you are cooking. A dedicated circuit prevents that.

From gas to induction

Disconnecting the gas involves more than the hob alone. We look at the total load, because a heat pump or a charging point often follows later. Then we lay the right foundation now.

What the manufacturer specifies

Many hobs have links between the terminals that decide how many phases they run on. Fitted wrongly, the hob works at half power or fails. We follow the diagram in the manual and measure afterwards.

The extractor too

If there is a recirculating hood or a hob with built-in extraction, we connect that in the same appointment. Saves a second visit.

Frequently asked questions about induction hob connection

Question not answered here? Call or message us and we will think it through with you, free of charge.

Can induction run off an ordinary socket?

Only small, narrow hobs that are explicitly suitable. A standard hob of 60 cm or wider belongs on a dedicated circuit or a perilex.

Does my fuse box need changing?

Often an extra circuit is enough, provided there is room. If the box is full or has no residual current protection, extending or replacing is the wiser move.

Can I have the hob delivered already?

Certainly. We also connect a hob you bought yourself. Send us the make and model in advance and we will know what is needed.

How soon can you come?

For planned work usually within a week in our core region. Beyond that we schedule a fixed date by arrangement.
